A business website should make the company’s offer credible and the next step obvious. Design works best when it helps a visitor judge fit, find supporting information and contact the right person without unnecessary effort.

Begin with the visitor’s decision

List the questions someone needs answered before contacting you: service, audience, location, process, expected scope and relevant evidence. Use those questions to structure pages. Avoid a homepage that talks about ambition but never explains what the business delivers. A clear introduction can be brief while still being specific.

Make proof honest and relevant

Publish actual project information and approved testimonials only when available. A client logo can signal a relationship but cannot substantiate an invented performance outcome. If you cannot disclose results, show the methodology or deliverables. Explain limitations where they affect the customer’s decision.

Use predictable navigation

Give links labels that describe their destination. Keep contact and privacy information reachable and let people explore a complex service before asking them to book. One prominent action per context is usually clearer than several competing buttons. Test the navigation with someone unfamiliar with the organisation.

Design for ongoing content

Use an editing system and reusable patterns that handle new service names, paragraphs and images. Test realistic content at narrow widths and with a keyboard. Agree who maintains the site and measures enquiry outcomes. A business website should remain understandable after the first round of updates, not only on launch day.
